Coffee roasting is the process of heating green coffee bean  at precise temperatures, leading to a flavorful cup of java. Our roasting process involves applying heat to the beans using a Mill City Roaster. The beans are placed in a rotating drum and are constantly stirred to ensure even roasting. The temperature, duration, and intensity of the roasting process can all affect the final flavor of the coffee.

We roast a variety of single-origin (link) and blend (link) coffees, including Burindi, Ethiopian, Colombian, Brazilian, and Costa Rican beans. We also offer a range of roast levels, from light to dark. We also offer blended coffees, which combine flavors from across the world.

Properly stored coffee beans will generally stay fresh for about 2-3 weeks after they are opened. We advise customers To try and drink coffee within 90 days of the roast date. It is important to note that the fresher the beans, the better the flavor will be. If you want to ensure the freshest possible cup of coffee, it is recommended to buy smaller quantities of beans more frequently.

It is best to store coffee beans in an airtight container in a cool, dry place and consume them within a couple weeks of opening. Avoid storing them in the refrigerator or freezer, as the moisture can cause the beans to become stale. It is also important to keep the beans away from sunlight and other sources of heat, as these can also contribute to the deterioration of the beans. We think fresh roasted coffee is best, and offer several subscription options to match how quickly you drink the good stuff.
